托福獨立寫作中教育類話題加分詞句

獨立寫作作為一個輸出型考試，輸入和積累就是拿高分必不可少的前提條件（prerequisite），但很多同學在這方面做得還不夠好（尤其是生活經驗少、平時又很難有機會用手機電腦的年紀比較小的娃），所以今天就趁機會給大家分享一些教育類話題下我們可以用的一些比較好的表達。
I、字字珠璣
1.nine-year compulsory education 九年制義務教育
·compulsory: adj.必須做的，強制性的
此處插播一道高中政治簡答題：【小學生小明今天不想上學，他跟媽媽說：“受教育是我的權利，我可以放棄。”請問小明說得對媽？】
參考答案：不對。因為小學是義務教育階段，受教育既是權利，又是義務，權利可以放棄，義務必須履行。
因此，此處用compulsory這個詞就很好理解了。
我想起2016年3月13日的某一天寫作課，講了個“應試教育”。班上的涂DH同學默默說了句：“應試教育就是義務教育。”另一位樓JW同學糾正：“不一樣的，應試教育是以考試為目標的教育，而義務教育是只能去義烏小商品市場接受的教育。”
聽到前半句還甚感欣慰的為師一腔熱血瞬間化為膽固醇……那么，“應試教育”的正經說法應該是什么呢？
2.exam-oriented education 應試教育
·n-oriented: adj.以……為方向的
類似表達：money-oriented, health-oriented, team-oriented, environment-oriented....
Eg. 面對著經濟發展和科技進步，人們不得不承認為了跟上社會的快節奏以及讓他們自己在這個以科技為導向的社會中處于有利地位而保持高效的重要性。
Confronted with economic boom and technological progression, people have to admit the significance of keeping high efficiency in order to keep hasty life rhythm and place themselves in a favorable position in the technology-oriented society.
3.quality-oriented education/ quality education 素質教育
既然提到了應試教育，那就不得不提到總是跟它如雙胞胎似地出現的“素質教育”。應試教育以考試為目標，而素質教育則旨在培養德、智、體、美、勞全面發展的學生。
4.morals, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, work 德、智、體、美、勞
5.combine political integrity with professional competence 德才兼備
6.excellency in character learning 品學兼優
后面這三個都可以用來形容素質教育培養出來的人才。
II、句句錦繡
1.China s educational system consists of preschool education, nine-year compulsory education,high-school education, vocational education, higher education and continuing education. 中國的教育體系分為學前教育、九年義務教育、高中階段教育、職業教育、高等教育、繼續教育。
好多真題在想理由或者對主體段內容展開的時候都需要我們描述教育現狀（體系、政策、個人意愿、覆蓋率等等），比如：
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People are now easier to become educated than in the past. （2012.11.24/ 2014.03.16/ 2020.01.04/ 2020.08.26）
但是同學們可能只了解基礎教育和高等教育。其實，我國的教育體系覆蓋很廣，各個年齡段都有囊括進去，真正面向“終身教育”、做到了“人民任何時候想上學都可以”。因此，上面幾個概念，同學們還是可以積累一下的。
2.Education makes a people easy to lead, but difficult to drive; easy to govern, but impossible to slave. 教育使一國之人民易于領導，但難于驅使；易于治理，卻不可能奴役。
*注意：這里的people指的是“民族”，所以前面才可以加冠詞a
3.Education is fundamental to a country’s enduring prosperity. 教育是興國之本，是百年大計。
·endure:
vt.忍受，后面可以加abuse, hardship, inconvenience, insult, misery, nightmare, ordeal,pain, period, persecution, ridicule, stress, suffering, torture criticism, consequence, loss....
vi.持續，前面可以加friendship, culture, system, habit, cooperation....
·enduring: adj.持久的
