About whether the new lie detector is useful.

Reading

Pros:

1. Due to the brain activity canner function, The lie detector is valid enough to distinguish true lying, because even a liar cannot hide his brain activity.

2. The test results by the lie detector can be used as testimony or evidence in courts.

3. The progress of lie detector can be applied in other similar circumstances or fields like diplomatic and business negotiations

Listening

Cons:

1. People who take medication (or have meditation?) can effectively influence brain activity to successfully cheat lie detector.

2. A lie detector only records the testee’s brain activities, and sometimes mistakes uncertainty for lies, so the test results are not good enough to be used as evidence in courts.

3. It’s offensive to use liedetectors in political and business fields where basic courtesy must be maintained and true feelings be hidden.
