2022年9月25日口語考情回顧

Task 1

Imagine that you need to find housing next semester and have found two possible apartments. The first apartment is within walking distance to campus, but the rent is a little expensive. The second apartment is farther away from campus. but the rent is more affordable. Which apartment do you think is better? Explain why.

Task 2

Reading: 學(xué)校要求學(xué)生每學(xué)期attend two cultural arts events and write short response papers，目的是interest students in attending more of the events by requiring attendance.

listening: 男生反對這個requirement，R1-it will discourage our attendance at other events by forcing us to go to somewhere less likely to go to others and Students will be less likely to go to additional events of their own Free will. R2-students don't have time for extra writing assignments especially assignments aren't even for a class.

Task 3

Reading: dormancy refers to a state of inactivity when the animal takes measures to avoid exposure to the elements, and its bodily processes slow down

Listening: e.g. lungfish lives in shallow lakes and before the lake dries up, it digs itself down into a hole in the mud at the bottom of the lake and curls itself up and covers itself with slime and mud. It forms a sort of protective coat of slime and mud. It protects the fish from heat and helps keep it moist. its breathing and heartbeat slow way down so it does not need to eat.

Task 4

1. maintain a supportive attitude toward students: e.g. Math teacher encouraged the professor to keep working hard and the professor gained confidence in geometry;

2. provide regular/almost immediate feedbacks to students: e.g. math teacher graded and returned homework by the end of the day to help reinforce each new lesson taught in class and students could understand and remember the correct way to do geometry problems.
