With media reports about the right diet of helping us maintain a healthy lifestyle or lose weight, to be a flexitarian is one of choices to get our teeth into. Instead of stuffing ourselves silly with whatever is available, a flexitarian diet involves eating plant-based foods and only occasionally eating meat and fish. It is regarded as a halfway house to being a vegetarian by not completely abstaining from meat. Aside from eating carefully to help people lose a few pounds, it s something people choose for ethical reasons, to help the planet. In actual fact, food waste will need to be halved. In the face of this, a combination of measures would be needed to stay within environmental limits and those include changes towards more plant-based diets.
