大家在學(xué)習(xí)雅思的過程當(dāng)中，會(huì)有很多需要背誦的單詞、搭配，實(shí)際上有很多大家本已經(jīng)熟悉的單詞，也有其他很恰當(dāng)?shù)暮x/或相關(guān)習(xí)語可以用于你的答案之中。本期我們就來給大家介紹一下雅思口語核心詞匯當(dāng)中的score單詞。

score一詞很多小伙伴還只知道它是“得分，打分（v.）、分?jǐn)?shù)（n.）”的意思。但score不管是作動(dòng)詞還是名詞，都有其他比較常用的含義。我們先來看看score作名詞，除了表示“分?jǐn)?shù)”以外，它還可以指數(shù)量“二十”，與dozen（十二，一打）比較相似。比如：

A score of people lost their lives when disaster struck.

It’s a small car park, which can roughly accommodate a score of cars.

但需要注意的是，如果是scores of，則是指many, a lot of（許多）。比如我們在討論在網(wǎng)絡(luò)PO出自己的問題，會(huì)得到很多的建議時(shí)：

If you post your problems online, on a social networking website, for example, you’ll receive scores of suggestions.

在雅思口語中討論如今的人們是否樂于助人時(shí)：

The thing is, I noticed that scores of volunteers offered to help during the lockdown.

再比如聊到城市里如春筍般涌現(xiàn)的咖啡館以及某個(gè)網(wǎng)站的豐富資源時(shí)：

Scores of independent coffee houses and bakeries started sprouting up all over the city.

I love visiting this website coz there’re scores of educational videos for learning languages.

當(dāng)score作名詞和動(dòng)詞時(shí)，有“譜曲，配樂”的意思，因此，我們在討論到電影、戲劇中的音樂時(shí)可以直接用這個(gè)詞，從而避免過多使用music，song。比如在報(bào)道近日去世的日本音樂大師坂本龍一時(shí)，某外刊中提到了他在電影配樂方面的影響和成就：

Mr Sakamoto agreed to act in the movie Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence on the condition that he could score it. 【Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence《圣誕快樂，勞倫斯先生》是1983年上映的一部劇情片，坂本龍一是主演之一。】

As a composer of epic film scores, he enlivened the work of directors such as Bernardo Bertolucci.【貝爾納多·貝爾托盧奇，意大利編劇、電影導(dǎo)演，奧斯卡金像獎(jiǎng)最佳影片與最佳導(dǎo)演】

再比如我們討論電影描述到電影配樂時(shí)：

Though I’m not impressed by its storyline, I think its original score is one of the best.

This film deserves all these glowing reviews. In fact, the film won awards for best director and best original score.

If you ask me, I’d say the film score definitely plays a role in its success.
